Baltasar Ebang Engonga Sex Scandal After Leaked Videos Show Top Official Sleeping with His Colleagues
Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the director general of Equatorial Guinea’s Anti-graft National Agency for Financial Investigation (ANIF), is at the center of a major scandal following the discovery of over 400 explicit videos in his home and office, as reported by Arise News. The materials were uncovered during a search conducted as part of an ongoing investigation.
The footage allegedly depicts Engonga, who is married with six children, engaging in explicit activities with multiple women, including the spouses of senior government officials. This includes high-profile figures such as the sister of the president, the wife of the police director general, and the wives of around 20 ministers. The interactions, which were reportedly consensual, were recorded in various locations, including Engonga's office, hotels, and bathrooms.
Engonga is not facing charges related to sexual assault, as it is believed that all acts were consensually filmed. However, the revelation has sparked significant public outrage and brought attention to the misuse of official spaces for inappropriate activities.
In response, Vice President Teodoro Nguema addressed the scandal on X (formerly Twitter), emphasizing the seriousness of the issue. "Given the abuse that has been shown on social media in Equatorial Guinea in recent days, and remembering that ministries are solely and exclusively for carrying out administrative work in support of the country's development, sexual relations in offices are prohibited," he wrote. He added that control mechanisms have been put in place to prevent future incidents and warned that any violation of these rules would result in disciplinary action and dismissal for indecent conduct.
