Meet management made simple.
On the seeding menu. When you click save changes you do not get any confirmation or hourglass making you think it worked. When you click the back arrow at the top to get out of seeding it asks you if your sure you want to cancel. If you save changes and exit it should not ask you anything. It should only ask you if you did not save.

I still feel that your seeding should stick for each event rather than taking the last used. For instance we run indoor meets that have 6 lane circle races and 8 lane straight and 12 in a flight in field events. Each with different ways of seeding as we only run semi-final in straight races. So to seed a meet I am constantly changing the settings and opening myself up for seeding errors. When you are seeding multiple meets in a day or even a user that does not use frequently your seeding can be a real problem.

Just added the concept of a "quick alert" as seen above. It is a quick little dialog that pops up and goes away on its own. I can likely use this same indicator in other places to indicate similar things.
I understand the need to let the user know something was done. But I didn't want to add yet another dialog for people to have to dismiss with a click. So hopefully this meets the need well.
Comment by Jason Lewis on February 22, 2013 at 11:26am how do i get more than 10 runners in a heat/flight? Is there a way to just allow a custom number?

alleys or waterfall seeding.
