This is is just a small bug fix release for a few bugs reported in in our beta release of 3.91 (which was never pushed to all users). Fixes:

  • When clicking to seed a field event, it properly defaulted to "Position" instead of "Lane" but still had a limit of 10 for the number of positions. Changing it to lane and then back to position fixed it but obviously that shouldn't be necessary!
  • Seeding a field event with > 10 positions but leaving the Lane Assignment setting on "Lane Preferences" caused an error. Now will use just ascending order if those settings are selected.
  • When you edited an event, the English measurement checkbox was not selected by default. This was mainly a visual bug because as long as you didn't check metric, it would still use English.
  • Don Passenger reported another seeding bug that I couldn't reproduce, but he gave me the stack trace on it... so I put some additional error handling around it to hopefully fix it.

Forgot to mention that RT is still multiplying field event seeds (X5 I believe) from Hytek Semicolon delimited file.

Also found that the field event sheets list a number instead of a team name.

I still get an error if I click anything other than "Add Heat After Last Heat" when adding a new heat to an event.

This isn't really a bug or anything, but after you delete a person from the "Athletes" tab, the next person is highlighted, but the information on the right doesn't update to the highlighted person and instead shows the deleted athletes information.

Hi Jason, Thanks for all of your work on this product.  It rocks!  A while back I saw a another guy post this question, "Is there an option available that will split the points between the four relay members evenly? It makes it tough to determine Athlete of the Meet when they relay members are unable to receive points for the relays."  You had responded that it would be a cool feature to add.  I wondered if there had been any more progress on this.  Thanks again.

Jason, let me say over all this is really a great improvement over the last version.  I am running a small invite meet with 12 teams tomorrow and have identified a couple bugs:

1. When seeding Racetab treats entries without a seed time as the fastest the first time you seed and event, but does it correctly the second time, and from what I can see toggles the seeds back and for each time you click seed. Don may have already reported this.

2. I had to manually enter a couple of athletes that coaches forgot to enter. They are treated as unattached or scratched in the seeding window. Moving them into a heat or the unassigned list in the seeding window solves the problem as does manually assigning them a lane in the event itself.

I'll report back if we encounter anything funky during the meet.

Crowd view for Results would be AWESOME

Hi Jason.  I think I may have found a bug.  I am using to manage meet entries.  When I export a .rtql file from and import it into my RaceTab meet I get an error when I attempt to remove an event from an athlete under the "Athletes" tab.  The pertinent part of the error seems to be "Conversion from type "DBNull" to type 'String' is not valid."  This does not happen when I try to delete events that I have manually entered.  I have tested this with RaceTab versions back to 3.050.  Thanks for all your work!

Another cool thing for crowd view would be Text to voice, that auto reads results on the PA

Hey everyone.... sorry that I am in and out lately. My priorities keep shifting between MileSplit (you may have seen the new redesign) and RaceTab and other projects. So I have been nose to the grindstone with redesign in recent weeks.

THE BEST WAY to get a bug fixed is to email or attach the actual .rtab meet file and tell me where to look. If I can reproduce it quick you got a much better chance it in getting fixed quickly
