Bug Fixes:

  • Worst to Best, Serpentine Seeding by Time/Mark was leaving the first heat with just one runner in some cases and had unattached athletes.
  • Finals results print issue with multiple rounds and judge decisions
  • Fix UI bug with scaling up and down the number of rounds quickly

Features

...

Changes

  • Strictly enforce max of four rounds.
  • Better handling of three decimal (thousanths) tie breakers. Made the tie breaker field that was added in last update read-only. You will enter the three decimals into the time itself. It will round it up for display, but show you the three decimals in that tie breaker field.
  • Add JD indicator on results when place is overridden manually by Judge Decision

Max of four rounds...can you tell me what this means?  Thanks!

It means that you can run a meet with over 40 full heats in a sprint event and treat the athletes fairly with advancement by place and time to the next rounds.  The Olympics have only had 4 rounds in the past.

Gotcha...So, qualifiers to pre-lims to semis to finals.  My DST brain read that as "heats".

Jason...just the changes that you've made in the last two weeks have completely changed the functionality of this program for me.  Thank you SO much for the work that you are putting into this.

I know that we have had our MVP conversation already and that I have suggested this, BUT (if you are looking for filler for .90), I think that it would be very useful to have a drop-down filter on the Events tab for "Divisions/Leagues/Classifications" etc.  Similar to the one that is already there for events.  Maybe put it by the event name...just keep it away from that X :)  I can just see this being very useful, ESPECIALLY in the event that you are making JD's and you need to see how they will impact the results BEFORE publishing.  I don't know what it would take, but it seems like all of that is already happening behind the scenes.  Thanks!

Since my download of 3.88 (and still with update of 3.89) when I score an event like the 100 and athletes have the same times it gives points to the person in the latest heat, even if that person was 20th place overall. Is there something I need to change in the settings or is this directly related to the version of racetab. I understand how to break a tie and this solves the problem, but when using hand times I can't really break a tie for athletes in 2 different heats. Thanks for the feedback.

Is the last heat the only one you tell to "score"? I tend to tell the program to score each heat and then score the screen where the program shows all heats.

I want to score all of the heats. When entering all of the results, I scored each of the 5 heats. then is no option to score when it shows all the heats. When I view the results of all 35 runners, 1 - 6 place, received the appropriate amt of points. There was a 3 way tie for 7th, they should get 1 point each, but instead it gave each of them 0.25 points. Then it gave 0.25 points to the person in heat four who tied for 10th, and 0.25 points for the person in heat 2 who tied for 12th, and 0.25 points to the person in heat 3 who tied for 15th, 0.25 points to each person in the highest number heat who tied for 19th, 23rd, 25th, and 31st.

May have other issues, but I went back to 3.87.
