I know it's getting exhausting to keep up with, but basically am trying to work on this every night until I can get 3.5 officially released as an official, stable build. I hope you don't mind my nightly builds and aggressive schedule.

"Release early, release often."

For those of you who don't have the stomach (or time commitment) for it, just ignore these 3.5 releases until it's official and keep using 3.053. But I really appreciate those of you who will help me by using and testing these Betas. I think you'll like what you are seeing.

Tonight's build:

Updates include...

- Fixed bug in the new "super groups" functionality that wasn't always printing the results right when you had multiple layers of hierarchy (ex: Overall, Masters, Grand Masters). Should always be right now.

- When you have a "mixed" event but filter it for male or female, it will now change the name of the event on the results print out (Merry Early Christmas, Don P)

- Added count of total and visible athletes and teams on the bottom of those tabs

- Added "Clear" buttons on Athletes and Teams tabs

- Fixed some display issues on the buttons that were causing some of the bottom buttons to have a line break, after i fixed them over and over (this has been reported by some, but most of you probably won't notice... just a visual issue) Also fixed some of the way the buttons were displaying on the export screen

- Fixed JSON issue with live results

Good point by Freddie, external program interaction will be important to test soon.

Athletes still misspelled on the export tab middle top.  Add rtab to the RaceTab Template Button.

Customize results screen (advanced customize button from publish tab) doesn't look all that tight.  Has space in weird areas and then csv delimiter is off of the screen.

If you pick girls in a customize it doesn't show as highlighted on the publish screen.

OK, i know if I say it is FAT, it will round to the 100th.  However, it will place as tie. For example, 13.322 and 13.326 both go to 13.33; however it should break the tie with 13.322 ahead.  Could be me.  I know with FAT it should go to the thousandth and break the tie

How do you get it to import quickly with EagleEye? I missed where to mark EEye as the interface or is that even needed?  If I click on get times and score heat, I get all scratches and no times DUH-- reason all scratched!!  I really do understand track FYI!!

Right now, I am having to drop the heat sheet on the proper heat in the event and move back a heat and go back to the one I just imported, and then it is there.

still marking all as first place when I first seed.  Maybe a problem from downloading from the csv file?  I OBVIOUSLY have no clue.

Still cannot return the format for reports to what you had as default.  Trying to alter the aesthetics made the results uneven, etc.. I hit default and it does not go back..

I did get Masters and Open winners in the road race!!! YEAH!!

I will keep playing around with it and see what else I do not know how to do!! Thanks as always

I notice when importing with csv it will auto place a 1 in the place position in every event you have someone seeded. this wacks up the  checking the current score after  BLANK number of events scored. . Is there anyway to set this default assigned place to 0 instead of 1?

This can be fixed if there is an option to add places in entries tab when importing entries, and having a column with all zero's down it and assigning it to place . the current config on entries tab import will not allow import of place, for logical reasons usually there is no need for a place when importing entries.:) In this case having the option to add a place column would solve my issues of having a 1 pre-assigned in ever place location of an imported entry with csv. does this make sense?

Better that it just be fixed ... should not be giving them places I don't think.

Another option for fix would be to not have current score gathered from events that are not complete and scored. If this is fixed I think it will solve the issues some had in cross country meet csv importing runners in a race and pre entered them in the event, which is " not necessary anyways" Some coaches like to run cross country races and create reports of what runners are seeded. In track one could just click the no show athletes who were seeded in a race and click delete or change the 1 to a 0. I would love to not have to do extra steps.

Well in cross it was because you did entries instead of rosters.  You simply hit clear and cleared all athletes ... that one was simple enough.

I just imported entries via a hytek delimited file and it worked fine.  All are assigned to Lane 0 and none appear to have places in 3.0.53.

I did the same thing in 3.5 and it also worked just as well.  I for the first time realize that there are buttons at the very top of that new import screen for Rosters/Entries/Results/Times/Chips (not sure if I can also bring in a bib order of finish there too?).  I have never selected one of those previously and those buttons are so light that I don't really see them and have missed them until now.  I think maybe they should also be on the black background.  At the end it offered if I would like to bring them in as entries or athletes.  I assume that entries (that I picked) is what results in them being in events vs athletes that likely would not.

I have never had the problem in XC. So, if I accidentally sent something, no idea.  I have brought the bibs in for the distance runners etc.. Always trying something... It is in track I get the first place finishers... I have tried athletes and entries.. So, I await your expertise!!  And Happy THanksgiving!
