Data Duplication Problem

I have a networked system with four machines. The data machine has windows 7. The other machines are XP. I am using race tab interfaced with FT FAT. I am connected through a high speed gigabit router.

The problem I am having is a duplication in data. Results for a heat are duplicated or the number of heats is duplicated. Then it automatically creates quarters and semis when I specified finals only.

This error does not happen in all cases but tends to be more prevalent in the…

RaceTab 3.65 - March 25, 2012

I only had 2.5 hours tonight to work on RaceTab, so just cleaned up what I could. I think some previous things were also fixed from earlier reported bugs. Sorry, I didn't keep track. But what I did tonight...

- Got field relays and individual running events scored as a relay working

- Fixed some seeding issues with certain combinations of values... as well as issue seeding field relays properly. Should be good now. Selecting serpentine seeding will now hide options that…

questions about Racetab

When downloading rosters from milesplit the grade does not appear in Racetab.  Is there a way to correct this?  I realize in milesplit team rosters it asks for the graduation year rather than the grade.

Caling Third Party App Developers: Open API

For the record, I would be potentially open to third parties wanting to develop their own apps that talk to RaceTab's new server that enables our apps. The API is really easy to work with and I will continue to add capabilities to it as needed.

So if you want to develop an app... let me know.

Nightly Build for March 10, 2013

Be sure to keep up! We're moving fast!

Now that we've got people running track meets and giving us some bug reports we're finally getting things clean. We're very close to calling this RaceTab 4 and pushing to everyone. Even now though, I really encourage everyone to run this version. It's more stable already than 3.053 and it helps us find any remaining issues and gets you used to this latest and greatest, which we think is going to really change how meets are…

Ray's Run

Today we timed a trail race with 400 runners in a 1 mile run and 700 runners in a 5k. Both races were male and female mixed. Before the race we had 5 computers linked via wireless router and in 1hr 15 minutes we registered/entered 350 race day entries........Then during the race while 1 computer operator got times, another operator at the end of the chute was entering bib numbers as the runners exited the chute. Within 5 minutes of the last runner crossing the line in both races, results…

Nightly Build for March 8, 2013

I know it's hard to keep up with, but bear with me if you can. I'm on the final sprint here of a long marathon race, kicking it in as fast as I can.

So, releasing a new build every night until we get it all cleaned up. Each one is progressively better and closer to final. What happened is we didn't have a lot of people helping to test earlier betas. And now that track season has started, the reports are finally flooding in of little annoying bugs. So I'm frantically fixing and…

New Installer for March 7, 2013

I went with a completely new installer for this update. So you may notice it looks different. I also changed the icon and the path where the program is stored! It is now just called "RaceTab" on your desktop and such with no version number on the shortcut. This is so that future versions can go into the same spot, even if we increment versions. I don't know why I didn't do that before.

THIS INSTALLER will also DELETE your old DESKTOP SHORTCUT. It will not delete the actual old…

I'm Back.... Ready to work on RaceTab 3.5 again

I've been busy for the past several weeks and haven't worked on RaceTab in a while. In fact, tonight will be only the second night in over a week that I'll sleep in my own bed.

I really want to encourage everyone to be using RACETAB 3.5 instead of 3.053 .... a lot has been fixed. It is already better. Just need people using it to catch any last minute things.

So with that in mind, please let me know about outstanding RaceTab 3.5 issues.... I'll release another update…
