I have a plan... I think. Rather than making all of these standalone apps, why not have an app of apps. I'm not 100% sure this will be the best course of action in the long term but it sure seems more convinient at the moment!
So on your Android phone, you can fire up Chrome and go here:

Then click the vertical ... menu button in the top right. And choose "Add to…

I would like to know how to open the time range for an event. RaceTab is not allowing me to input outliers (i.e. 56.45sec. for a 200m dash race).

Sorry for the duplicity!
OK, ignore the FAT thing. Figured it out. I did the unthinkable-- I just played around with some buttons and found it!! I am getting better!! Still on the FAT placing, seeding first for all, etc.. Thanks
OK, for EagleEye, you have to have an evt file to import into EEye (sure same as all- just am not a computer person or familiar with other systems).. On the export menu, when I hit event for LYNX, I get schedule. I am assuming the sch and evt files are connected? The problem I am having is sometimes an evt file shows up to import and sometimes not.. So, no idea what I am NOT doing.. All I need is the evt file.. Thanks
You don't need to export it. When you turn on the integration through with Eagle Eye and tell it what folder it is working in, it will create and update the necessary files.
I do need an evt file to import to EEye when timing (Eagle Eye people--if know another way, tell me!!;I am not sure what else to do). Ok here is the process, I seed the meet. It is still placing all first place before event starts. I am using a csv file to import. When I downloaded last year from RACETAB, this did not happen. Anyway, seeding seems perfect- other than placing all first. I have used all from waterfall to lanes to alleys and seems fine. I get the meet seeded. On the EEye Computer, on the timing screen, there is a tab called Race Results. You click on that. You then have two import screens. I need an evt file to import the events with the runners in their lanes. In RACETAB, I have clicked on the export option under every category: events, athletes, teams. I see where it says LYNX on each. If I click on the entire meet to LYNX, I do not get an option of any kind (granted, it may be for something which I have no clue!!) Anyway, I go through it all and get the ppl, sch, etc.. I do not need people or schedule or team affiliation in itself. I do need the evt file. (based on my knowledge anyway). I have SOMEHOW managed to get the evt file after clicking away. Yet, I have no clue how. I do need to know how to get there quickly and which sequence of buttons have gotten it!! I have tried deducing but not working.
I understand how to set the interface, designate the results folder but I still have no evt file..So, HELP!!
FOR ALL WHO USE EAGLE EYE: once you get the evt file in and drop into RACETAB you are going to LOVE with a capital L the ease and speed of doing results!! I am beyond amazed. I am sure with all; I just do not know any other system.
Still cannot get my 'results back to default. I have clicked on default after playing around with the fonts, etc... Now, I cannot get it back to default. It is producing results not lined up, etc.. Nothing happens when I click on default.
I do not understand much more anyway but all I know seems to be working. I have not worked on importing road races with a csv file yet. Or how to do prelims and finals or relay meets.. That will have to be later. I must read a couple of essays now!!
Thanks for all the help.
Jason,
Great software. Recommended to me by Steve Infacelli.
can letters be programmed into the software for bib entry purposes. I am directing/timing a xc championship meet and the athletes have letters in their numbers.
thanks

JAson,
I've been using Race Tab for road races for over a year now and it works great. I have been asked to time some xc league meets. I am having rosters sent to me in an excel spreadsheet. when I enter the rosters they show up in "Athletes" but with no team abbreviation listed. The rosters also do not show up in "Teams" when I highlight a particular team. What am I doing wrong?
thanks.

If you import with a team column then it should put it into your teams. You do not need to have the teams created first. It will automatically create the teams from the spreadsheet import.
