RaceTab 4.25 Very Slow When Sharing Files

I plan to use RaceTab 4.25 to manage a high school cross country meet. I'd like to use two computers hardwired (ethernet cable through a switch) together where both computers are running RaceTab and…Continue

I posted a similar question a few weeks ago and got no replies. I'm going to try to restate my exact issue and see if this generates anything (and also, my upcoming meet is another week closer, and…Continue

Exhibition Cross Country Runners

I'm experimenting with RaceTab for use in a cross country meet. By league agreement, each team will designate their varsity and JV runners before the race, but all runners (of the same gender) will…Continue

Importing a Cross Country Meet from Athletic.net

I've been using RaceTab for a few years to score our track meets. I set the meets up in Athletic.net, teams make their entries, I download the entries and import them into RaceTab (without even…Continue

"In the video it shows that you are connected. But if you go into the webapps section and get that link, no. They just need to be on the same WiFi network as RaceTab, so they can access the RaceTab server by ip address."

"We also have the ClerkTab application that you can run over the network. In theory your clerk could assign lanes right from the start line."

"Wow, that's a lot of manual entry. We use FinishLynx with our FAT, so I feel that we have to have the clerk run the kids in assigned lanes."

"Our league has the same rules. The official simply asks for the fastest athlete from school A, fastest athlete from school B, etc and the athletes are responsible for getting themselves in heats. In the end, what I do at the meets is have a…"

"No, I didn't. Last season, I used RaceTab 4.23. In that version, I no longer get the error messages or crashes when trying to see with assigned lanes, but I can't get it to do the behavior I want. We have an 8-lane track. According to how…"

RaceTab 4.25 Very Slow When Sharing Files

I plan to use RaceTab 4.25 to manage a high school cross country meet. I'd like to use two computers hardwired (ethernet cable through a switch) together where both computers are running RaceTab and have the meet open. My thought is that, during a race, one operator can be using RaceTab's stopwatch to get times as the kids finish, and the other operator can be using the other computer to enter bib tags from the previous race, print results, etc. Before the race, one computer can be used to edit…See More

Jeff Kalember replied to Brian Bearss's discussion Heat Sheets with Bibs for Clerk
"Best solution so far comes from Don Passenger – usea waterfall start for seeding distance races and assign each athlete to a Lane then that lane that becomes their bib/ID number. Score in finishlynx by lane"

Brian Bearss replied to Brian Bearss's discussion Heat Sheets with Bibs for Clerk
"Jeff, I've been using John's suggestion for two seasons, and the only drawback I see is that *all* the athletes are assigned bib numbers. So, you either must choose between printing out the sheets for the clerk with either one event per…"
