If you are running multiple waves in the same event, you can create those waves for road races and cross country.
Give each wave a name and a time offset. The time offset is how far after the initial start that wave will begin. Assuming you have three waves going off every three minutes, your setup might look like this:
On the Setup Tab under the scoring options, you will see a check box that says "Use Actual Time in Results". If this is checked then it will print the clock time in the results. If it is unchecked (default) then it will subtract the wave offset time from the clock time in the results, and order them for placing accordingly.
